Why with us? - Fleet - Cape Town helicopters in South Africa
Environmentally friendly tourism
Our goal has always been to be a leader in responsible tourism and to offer our customers the highest possible quality. With the Cape Peninsula declared a nature reserve, it was essential to fly helicopters that had the least impact on the environment.
The company has taken the lead in Cape Town with the purchase of a number of Airbus Helicopters. These machines are some of the few helicopters in the world certified to operate in noise sensitive areas. They are certified at 86 decibels and fly at 1500 feet. This is the accepted noise limit for sensitive areas. So if you fly with us, then as quietly as possible!
Airbus EC 120 & 130 helicopters - the best tourist helicopters in the world
The introduction of the incredible new Airbus fleet marks the beginning of a new age in aviation technology. The Airbus was the best choice for professional sightseeing flights around Table Mountain.
Our helicopters are a preferred standard for all aviation enthusiasts. The open cabin design speaks for itself, because every passenger has 180 ° freedom of movement. This feature was lovingly improved on the revolutionary new Airbus 120 and 130, the first touring helicopter of the 21st century.
The latest state of the art - Fenestron tail rotor
This means that the Airbus company leads the way in environmentally friendly aviation. The Airbus 120 or 130 uses the closed high-tech "Fenestron" or "Fan in Fin", which replaces conventional tail rotor systems. Fenestron is: safer, quieter and more efficient & with 25% less engine power that can now be used by the main rotor system.
Unevenly distributed blades interrupt the frequency to allow less noise to be emitted. With less than 86 decibels, it is one of the few flying machines that is allowed to work in sensitive areas.
BOSE headsets for aviation - high quality headsets with noise cancellation
These are not cheap headphones that are available to the public. Our company also sets high standards here and a headphone set costs around 9,200 euros. The price was high, but the difference is so incredible. We guarantee that all passengers in each of our helicopters are equipped with a Bose headset.
The Bose system electronically "reads" any outside noise and then generates the exact opposite frequency waveform to suppress that noise before it ever reaches your ears. You will come home well rested without having to endure the noise pollution that is common with helicopters.
Rugged Video ™ camera systems - the future of onboard video
Each of our helicopters is equipped with a camera system from Rugged Video ™ for 9,200 euros. Each tour is recorded on a memory stick. Four 3CCD chip cameras are mounted in the helicopter. One in the front, one on each side and one in the cockpit. During the flight tour, the pilot selects the appropriate camera with a toggle switch attached to the flight controls in order to capture the most interesting scene during the tour.
Brief shots of passengers will be taken during the tour to capture expressions for what they see. All music, pilot commentary and microphone communication between you and the pilot are recorded. The music was specially selected to complement the changing landscape.
