We will meet you at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront airport, where our ground crew will give you a warm welcome and your body weight will be determined in order for us to establish load capacity on board. After every guest on board has been equipped with a lifejacket, you will be briefed on all necessary safety instructions.
Big 5 Fly-in safaris – experience Africa’s largest wild animals
Should you choose to go on a Big 5 safari in Cape Town, the helicopter will take off and fly you over the largest wine-growing area towards the Little Karoo. We will land in close proximity to the Game Lodge, where our ranger will welcome us and we will switch from helicopter to 4x4 off-road vehicle for our next exciting adventure. Our shark cage diving tours to Gansbaai start early in the morning. This tour can be a little complicated as we have to keep a close watch on the weather forecast and accurately calculate times for high and low tides. We will be crossing the Atlantic Coast towards Hermanus and within a short while will be reaching the sleepy coastal town of Gansbaai, breeding ground of the Great White Shark. Once landed in Gansbaai, you will be boarding a boat which will take you out to sea. More information: White Shark cage diving
During the early morning hours we will take off and fly you along the Atlantic coast towards False Bay, from where we will set course for South Africa’s whale capital – Hermanus. From here you will be able to spot the gentle giants from an elevated rocky shore. More informtion: Whale watching
A Big 5 safari tour to the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is only possible in combination with an overnight stay at the lodge. Rates for accommodation start from approx. ZAR 6.545 per person including 2 safaris as well as meals. You are of course welcome to see to your own transport to the Reserve, where you will have the option of booking a private tour with one of the German-speaking tour guides.
