We start our little sightseeing flight from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Right after departure you have a wonderful view of the Table Mountain Bay with Robben Island and the wild west coast. On the right you can see Signal Hill and the lion head with its beauty. The city center with its skyscrapers is at your feet.
We fly along the Atlantic coast and show you briefly the sights on the outskirts of the city. We fly along the foothills of Table Mounain the Twelve Apostles Mountains. They stretch from the beginning of the landmark towards Llandudno. Shortly after Camps Bay begins a beautiful coastal road that meanders to Hout Bay.
We will fly to the following Twelve Apostles Mountains:
Blinkwater Peak, Porcupine, Jubilee Barrier, Valken, Kasteel, Postern, Wood, Spring, Slangolie, Corridor, Grootkop, Separation, Victoria, Grove, Llandudno Peak, Llandudno Corner. We will see Hout Bay from a distance.
The name “Twelve Apostles Mountains” is basically incorrect, because we will see a total of 18 mountains with our helicopter flight,
Table Mountain with its foothills was declared a national park in 1998. Thus Cape Town lies in the middle of a huge and protected nature reserve.
Maclear's Beacon
The Maclear’s Beacon, at the northeastern end of the mountain, is the highest point on Table Moutain at 1,087 meters. With our flight we can only imagine the diverse and rich fauna and flora from great heights. The Twelve Apostles Mountains are a special natural phenomenon. With over 1,400 plant species, the national park displays a unique landscape. This is where the advertising slogan: '' The world in one city '' comes into its own.
With a flight time of about 16 minutes, our sightseeing flight ends relatively quickly. We fly back to the waterfront, where the ground crew will pick us up from the helicopter.
