GEOGRAPHY: Kenya borders five African neighbouring countries. Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania. In terms of its landscape, the country has a lot to offer. From the dry desert landscape in the north, through fertile areas on the coast and Lake Victoria, to the savannah landscape in the south.
LANGUAGE: The official languages are English and Swahili. In addition, over 30 other national languages are spoken such as Maasai.
RELIGION: About 45% of the population of Kenya are Protestants, 33% Catholics, 10% Muslims, as well as followers of the natural religions and minorities of Hindus and Jews.
PASSPORT: Required, with the condition that the passport is valid for at least 6 months at the start of the journey.
VISA: There is a fee for EU citizens from Germany and Austria. The tourist visa is valid for 90 days upon entry.

CLIMATE: The coastal areas of Kenya have a tropical climate with temperatures between 22 and 32 degrees Celsius. Most of the rain falls from April to October, while the driest months are January and February. The highlands have a more temperate climate with four seasons. The best months to travel are January and February, as rain showers are rare.
